"Hands On" Learning Center
At the "Hands On" Learning Center, here is where the novice can immerse in the art of wheel thrown pottery or they can try their hand at a slab or coil pot. For children of "all ages" spectators can learn the importance of proper clay preparation and get "up to their elbows" in mud as they take a spin on the pottery wheel.
The "Hands On"Learning Center is staffed with High School and college art students helping people explore the feelings and textures of the clay.
NEW to the "Hands On" Learning Center is "Adventures in Slip Casting". Here we will show you the techniques of slipcasting, and have items available for you to paint and take home. There will be a nominal fee for bisque items, and this will be a FUN Adventure not to miss!! |
